Windows 8 Coming Soon!

Posted: July 14, 2011 in Uncategorized

There are rumors around the internet about the upgrade of the newly released Operating System Windows 7 (which sold 400 million licenses around the world) which is the said Windows 8. But the said rumors are true which was conformed during the day 1 of the annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.

Microsoft will make at least four different versions of Windows 8 for devices with ARM processors, but you won’t be running older Windows apps on any them, according to an Intel executive. Renee James, Intel’s senior vice president and general manager of Software and Services Group, also reaffirmed thatWindows running on ARM devices will be focused on tablets and other mobile devices.

An Article from http://windows8center.com/said that:

Microsoft has been also busy improving and developing its Live services (recently giving Skydrive, an online storage tool, a makeover) and integrating them with Windows 8. However, Windows Live is not yet synchronized with Windows 8 in terms of development. Live is in a Milestone 2 coding phase, with Milestone 1 bits currently being deployed into Windows 8. Next week, we can count on hearing more about Windows 8’s cloud capabilities during the Worldwide Partner Conference next week and, beyond that, the BUILD conference.
Also, Microsoft talks about Windows Server 8 at WPC 2011. This is really exciting and i think will be worth the wait. It always gets me excited when windows releases upgrades.

During the Day 1 keynote of our annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, Steve Ballmer revealed that Windows 7 has officially sold 400 million licenses to-date. That equates to 7 copies of Windows 7 sold a second. Windows 7 is now running on 27.13% of all PCs worldwide. And of PCs running Windows. – by windows8update.com

How to Add An Icon for your blog (for blogger users only)

Posted: July 11, 2011 in Uncategorized

I think this is a new feature of the blogger- where you could add your “Favicon”,, so to add it,

STEP 1: You must create a design for your icon. You may use Photoshop, or even Microsoft paint or whatever..
A Favicon is also known as a shortcut icon, Web site icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, most commonly 16×16 pixels, associated with a particular Web site or Web page. A web designer can create such an icon and install it into a Web site (or Web page) by several means, and graphical web browsers will then make use of it. Browsers that provide favicon support typically display a page’s favicon in the browser’s address bar and next to the page’s name in a list of bookmarks. Browsers that support a tabbed document interface typically show a page’s favicon next to the page’s title on the tab, and site-specific browsers use the favicon as desktop icon.- Wikipedia

Here’s an example of a favicon pretty much the same with my favicon found at the title bar..

STEP 2: After Creating your design, try to look for a free conversion of your design like from what format to .ico,,
Here’s a link from where I converted my ‘favicon image’ to .ico format. Don’t worry this is totally free..

I think that’s all or this topic. thank you!

Boxing-Pacquiao poised to deliver Margarito knockout, says Khan
Yahoo! Sports, Sat, 13 Nov 2010

British world champion Amir Khan has predicted Manny Pacquiao will knock out Antonio Margarito in Saturday’s super welterweight bout, even though he is nearly six pounds lighter than his Mexican opponent.

Khan, who retained his own WBA super lightweight title in May, is a regular sparring partner for Filipino Pacquiao and they are both trained by Los Angeles-based Freddie Roach.

“I was quite surprised to see his weight at 144.6 pounds,” Khan told Reuters after seven-time world champion Pacquiao officially weighed in on Friday well below Margarito’s 150 pounds.

“But the power he hits with, it’s easy for him to hurt anyone.”

Khan, who will defend his title against Argentina’s Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas on Dec. 11, believes Pacquiao’s less-than-expected weight is part of a plan hatched by Roach to counter Margarito’s size advantage with blinding speed.

“Manny’s going to use his footwork and… Read full Story

Why blog?

Posted: November 12, 2010 in Uncategorized

Many people are just so good in writing and organising ideas to form a

whole lot of sentences and that gives them the idea that they can be a

blogger or shall we call ‘em a writer. They have that talent to express

things so easily. They have so much to say about what they see, and what

they hear. And there are also those who can’t even think of a single

sentence to express what is in their thoughts. Why is it so?
Why does these talented people think about such thing as blogging? Is it

because their ideas are overflowing or what?
Or maybe blogging has become their business option. Think they could earn

a hundred bucks for every article they publish?

Personally, I really want to use my head and be inclined into such thing

as blogging not because that is my talent but because I really want to try

and measure how far can I go and how long will I stay in these “trend”.
You? why do you Blog?

To vote or not to Vote Noynoy Aquino?

Posted: February 27, 2010 in Uncategorized

Should we Vote NONOY AQUINO for President ? ( because he is Ninoy & Cory’s Son ).

By all indications, he is indeed one damn good person, But really, is one damn good person what we need right now? Is nice enough to take us out of the mess we are in? Is his amiable personality enough to gloss over the fact that he has spent most of his years in Congress doing, well, not much, and that, just like the lot of them, he is a politician taking advantage of this singular opportunity – of all things, his mother’s death – to be president?

The bigger man, the wiser man, the one damn good person would, after seeing the multitude of mourners outpouring their devotion for his mother, have declined the temptation to be goaded into running; in Tagalog, hindi siya magpapabuyo. Certainly, a good man would have at least waited a little longer and not announced his candidacy right after the ritualistic 40 days after the passing of his mother, making it seem like he was just obliged to comply with Filipino tradition so as not to look insensitive, but at the same time that he couldn’t wait a day more since he’s thrown his hat in the race too late and must thus make up for lost time.

For in his years of public service, in his whole life, really, can Noynoy honestly say he thinks himself competent enough to be president? Or is it more likely that the crowd at his mother’s wake, and his slew of very able advisers – pardon the digression, but Drilon, Abad, which side are you on lately? – emboldened him into that way of thinking? While in his “period of discernment”, I was hoping that for at least once in my life, I would witness a true statesman, selfless, wise, like the previous generation witnessed Ninoy. He would’ve been that statesman had he declined, knowing he knows nothing and being truly wise for it. Alas, the blinding allure of power, the buoying wave of his mother’s (not even his own) supporters, was too strong to resist. If this doesn’t reek of political opportunism, I don’t know what does.

I agree, we shouldn’t vote purely on competence. But that shouldn’t stop experience from reminding us what happens if we vote for an incompetent president. What happens is we vote a hundred thousand advisers with him/her. What happens is after three years in office, we try to take him/her out again, realizing we made a mistake. If we’re unsuccessful, we call it a coup attempt. If we’re successful, we call it Edsa Dos. What happens is we pin our hopes on another popular icon, another shining symbol, without realizing that we’re being f*cked by the same people over and over again.

He may not be like his mother, or he might excessively pale in comparison to his father but he had the silent mystery that disarms even the most arduous critic.

Even so I hope that he has answers for the following:

1. The Reproductive health bill.

2. The Hacienda Luisita tragedy.

3. The massive cheating to be done this upcoming elections.

4. The possibility of a failure of elections.

5. What he would do if he wins the elections would he prosecute the former President?

6. His stance on globalization.

7. The national debt which his mother so proudly wanted to pay for at the expense of our economy.

8. The question of the muslim south.

9. His stand on the NDF.

10. His capacity to create jobs and how he would address the problem of brain drain.

***************************************************************

I hope that when we choose who to vote for President, we must not look at what did his/her parents have done to this country, but understanding and discerning what will be the country’s future if we  lay it down into the hands of a certain candidate.
